The Drobo will automatically build a RAID for you. You can mix & match 3.5 disk drives of different sizes & rotation speeds. Your Drobo will automatically set it up in the best RAID for you. See the attached pictures of different working Drobo RAID mixes. This 5N NAS has the latest firmware installed & it is know to support up to 12TB sata drives. I used it with five 6TB drives installed for usable storage of 24TB.

The Upgraded Drobo Power Supply is included. The cabinet fan has been replaced with a high performance Noctua NF-P12. 120GB msata is provided for accelerated Drobo performance. The 120GB msata is included & installed in the proper performance slot (in the bottom). NOTE If needed I'll provide support to help you reuse a drive set from a failed unit.
