@ LOMO ANAMORPHIC 50 50mm T2.8 Lens with OCT19 Mount CKB CKBK NAS6-1 @
LOMO ANAMORPHIC 50mm T2.8 Model: NAS6-1' P' / CKB MK with OCT19 mount. This is probably experimental / prototype lens from CKB MK (later CKBK), which was elite Lomo factory. It was made in 1958 Year and probably it is one of the kind. This is one of first Lomo Anamorphic lenses ever made. It is in fully working condition, as it was checked with Sony FS7 camera and Sony'E' to OCT19 adapter. There's NO deep scratches, deep'cleaning marks', cracks or any other serious damages on glasses; there's NO fungus, fog, separations, haze or any other serious damages inside optical construction; this is probably uncoated version of the lens (anamorphic glasses / spherical rear glass with coatings); it has some MICRO marks/spots/missings on front glass, but it is probably nothing to worry about; there are few MICRO'cleaning marks' on glasses and inside optical construction, but they are faint ones, not deep ones. It has two larger marks in the left upper corner (see picture); it has some MICRO pieces of dust inside optical construction and one small hair inside; lens checked on lens projector and it gives proper flat image; lens projector shows good sharpness wide open, so it is more than good in this case; we think it is still in excellent optical shape as for such old lens. Focus ring works quite smooth, as for Lomo Anamorphic lens (most of those lenses are very stiff and need professional service before use); we've checked it with manual Chrosziel Follow Focus and it works fine; we think it is also good for electronic follow focus units, but we can't guarantee it (not tested); it has backlash / play on focus ring, when You start focus from closer distance, but we think it is nothing to worry about during the work; it has strange'going down' type of ring, as it's focusing method is a bit different than in other Lomo Anamorphic lenses; aperture ring works smooth, but note, that aperture ring is hidden under focus ring and it needs some lever to use it (not attached; we've used hard wire to operate it, and it is working very smooth); focus rings sounds a bit gritty when it is in use, but it is nothing to worry about and it is not even mechanical issue; aperture stops up to f/16 without any problems; there is some grease on aperture blades, but it is even better for Lomo lenses, as dry blades can be stucked during the work; it has OCT19 mount at the moment, but we believe adaptation to Arri PL mount will cost no more than 1K USD including lens service / callibtration; at the moment OCT19 mount can be directed in left direction, as it was used with some specific camera in the 50's, but when lens and camera is on the lens support / rods, it all works fine (checked with Sony FS7 camera and OCT19 to Sony adapter); lens is still in excellent working condition for it's age. It has LIGHT / NORMAL signs of use on it's casing, as can be seen on REAL pictures under item description; please, do not forget this lens is 62 Years old, so it has to have some signs of use on it's casing; it has scratches and paint missings on it for sure.
In general, there are NO serious damages on it's body, but it can have some really MICRO dents and cracks on it, as it is quite old lens; still in excellent visual shape for it's age. We think this lens is in really EXCELLENT (75%) overall condition, but this is just our opinion. Remember that all evaluations are always subjective. Front glass with some light issues (marks / cleaning marks), but rest of the glasses looks quite good, so in generall it is nothing to worry about.
The most important is that. Chrosziel lens projector shows good flat image with it at the moment. We do not check lenses with camera, but we always check them on collimator and lens projector. Our RATINGS in items description are. MINT (100-95%) -> PERFECT (80-95%) -> EXCELLENT (60-80%) -> VERY GOOD (40-60%) -> GOOD (20-40%) -> POOR (5-20%).
