Steel Arri PL mounts and connecting of lenses parts was done in Russia by professional Tech. All lenses are fitted with. Standard 0.8 pitch 360 degrees follow focus rings.
Only , as most vintage Russian lenses This is 35mm camera format set for sure, but we do not know if it covers 4K, 5K or 6K digital format without any problems. Informations about coverage can be found in internet for sure We do not know if set match optically. This is mixed set, but with quite close dates of production (from 1958 to 1969 Year). If You think those lenses will be mechanically and optically as new lenses, this set is NOT for You. Those lenses are very old lenses and works like Russian 30 Years old lenses without a doubt. There's NO deep scratches, deep'cleaning marks', cracks or any other serious damages on glasses; there's NO new fungus, fog, separations, haze or any other serious damages inside optical construction; lens has some MICRO'cleaning marks' on glasses MC's and inside optical construction, but nothing to worry about; most'cleaning marks' are under front glass or on second glass from front, probably from not proper glass cleaning; lens has some marks on second anamorphic glass, probably after fungus cleaning, so it has damaged coating and they are visible on the glass now. Repair of this issue will costs around 1K USD for polishing / new coatings of the glass plus maybe 200-250 USD for diassemble lens before it and assemble of the lens after it; we do not think it is needed here, but to have really nice lens, it can be done in some services.
Lens has few marks/spots on glasses MC's, but this is quite normal in 50 Years old lens; lens has noticeable line mark inside optical construction, but it is nothing to worry about, as we didn't see it on test material; rear spherical part is in excellent condition, probably never used before; lens has some MICRO pieces of dust inside optical construction, but not so much and there's nothing to worry about it; lens checked on lens projector and it gives proper flat image; it's not very sharp, but usually Lomo wide angle lenses are softer than other focal lenghts from the set. This lens has two/three SMALL scratches on front glass, but we didn't notice any material worsening on any camera tests; this lens has some MICRO'cleaning marks' on front glass coatings and inside optical construction; front glass has inside SMALL crack on the upper edge of the glass, that also didn't show on camera test material. Lens has some marks/spots on glasses MC's, but this is quite normal in 50 Years old lens.
New front glass cost around 1.5K USD, but You can get on the market used ones in excellent shape for under 1K USD, if someone needs perfect glass with no issues; we do not think it is needed, but we just suggest what can be done with the lens to have really nice one ; lens has few MICRO pieces of dust inside optical construction, but not so much and there's nothing to worry about it; lens checked on lens projector and it gives proper flat image; this lens is quite sharp on projector, as it is probaly very well callibrated. There's NO deep scratches, deep'cleaning marks. Cracks or any other damages. There's NO fungus, haze, fog, separations or any other damaged inside optical construction.
Lens has some MICRO'cleaning marks' on outside and inside glasses coatings, but nothing serious, as they are faint ones, not deep ones; there are few MICRO marks/spots on glasses coatings, what is normal in vintage Russian lenses. MICRO piceces of dust inside optical construction, but nothing to worry about; in the middle of optical construction, it has some transparent dots on one of the glasses, but there's nothing to worry about; lens was checked on lens projector and it shows good optical performance and gives flat image; lens is softer wide open and generate this lovely dreamy look, but sharper closed to f/4 or f/5.6. Focus ring works smooth, as for Lomo Anamorphic lens, as most of those lenses are very stiff and need professional service before use; focus and aperture rings checked with manual and electronic follow focus units and with both lens works fine; lens has backlash / play on focus ring when You start focus from infinity; focus ring can work a bit unregular in some places, but still works smooth as for 50 Years old lens; aperture ring works smooth; both rings sounds a bit gritty when they are in use, but it is nothing to worry about and it is not even mechanical issue; aperture stops up to the end without any problems.
With almost NO grease on them. Arri PL mount should fit all cameras on the market. As for Lomo Anamorphic lens, as most lenses on the market are very stiff. Focus ring checked with manual and electronic follow focus units and it works good with both units.Aperture ring works smooth too; aperture stops to the end without any problems; aperture blades. Lens can have minimal backlash on both rings, but it is not noticed / not an issue, when lens is in use. Both rings sounds a bit gritty when they are in use, but it is nothing to worry about and it is not even mechanical issue. With minimal grease on them, but it is even better for Lomo lenses aperture blades, as working as dry ones, they can easly stuck. Has NORMAL signs of use on it's casing, as can be seen on REAL pictures under item description; most signs of use are on anamorphic attachment, which is over 50 Years old! , so this is quite normal; lens casing has some scratches and some paint missings on it, nothing more than that; lens scales in excellent shape, very visible, as for such old lens. There's NO serious dents, cracks or any other serious damages on it's body for sure, but it can have few really MICRO dents/cracks on it, as it is quite old lens part. Rear spherical part is brand new, maybe with just few LIGHT signs of use after assembling it in service. Signs of use on lens casing, as can be seen on real pictures below. Has some scratches and some paint missings on it, mostly on anamorphic attachment part. Lens scales are in excellent shape, very visible. There are just few LIGHT signs of use on lens casing, as can be seen on real pictures below.
Has few scratches and some paint missings on it, mostly on anamorphic attachment part. We think this lens is in EXCELLENT- (65% to 70%) overall condition, but this is just our opinion. Remember that all evaluations are always subjective. Just don't forget, Lomo lenses are old Russian lenses, so they never won't look like new or work like new.We always try to do the best we can, to make then useable as they can be. The most important is, that. Chrosziel lens projector shows very good flat images with this lens at the moment.
We do not check lenses with camera, as every camera sensor is different, but we always check them on collimator and lens projector to be sure they are in good workig order. Our RATINGS in items description are. MINT (100-95%) -> PERFECT (80-95%) -> EXCELLENT (60-80%) -> VERY GOOD (40-60%) -> GOOD (20-40%) -> POOR (5-20%). [UPS Curier; takes 3 to 5 w/days to deliver].
